Cosmetic Surgery - Would You Change Your Nose?

By James P Wilkinson

We hear of various celebrities undergoing cosmetic surgery procedures, the most popular being such things as face lifts and breast enlargement. Rarely mentioned but none the less an image changing procedure is nose surgery or Rhinoplasty to give it its proper name.

This type of surgery is used to perfect facial symmetry which can be harmed by unsightly bumps on the bridge of the nose and other imperfections which can throw the alignment out.

A nose that is perceived as too wide can have cartilage removed/reshaped to give it a thinner look and in the same way the cartilage in the bridge of the nose can be reshaped to remove that bump you've gotten used to seeing in the mirror.

With the advancements in the area of cosmetic surgery in the last few years this type of procedure can be concluded in the space of an hour with the swelling usually subsiding within 5-6 days. An injection can now be given after the operation to reduce bruising -yet another benefit of the modernisation of these techniques and the many years of experience which back up each procedure.

There are of course a few side effects for the first few weeks following the surgery such as a diminished sense of smell and some nasal stiffness but this usually subsides without any further problems. All in all the pros certainly outweigh the cons with regards to this procedure.

Such a seemingly small procedure can make a huge difference to your facial profile and, as we all know, even the slightest change can create a whole new look when it comes to the details on your face.

If you are thinking about going ahead with any form of cosmetic surgery you should always seek out an accredited surgeon to ensure you receive the best quality in terms of the plastic surgery.
